House of Representatives to visit Neuengamme 
On Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 February, the President of the House, Ms. Gerdi Verbeet and a delegation of the Dutch House of Representatives visited the former concentration camp Neuengamme.
The delegation consisted of the President of the House of Representatives, Ms. Gerdi Verbeet, Presidium member and MP mr. Sybrand van Haersma Buma and several war victims’ spokespersons of the House of Representatives.
State parliament of Hamburg
The delegation paid a visit to the ‘Gedenkstätte Bullenhuser Damm’ in Hamburg, a monument for 20 Jewish children, victims of medical experiments. Next, the delegation visited the state parliament of Hamburg, where the MPs were received by the President and Vice-President. They also met with several spokepersons for cultural affairs.
Neuengamme
On Wednesday 24 February, the delegation paid a visit to the former concentration camp Neuengamme. On behalf of the House of Representatives, The President of the House laid a wreath at the international monument and bouquets at the memorial for the victims of Putten and the Dutch plaque. The House of Representatives was invited by the Bürgerschaft der Freien und Hansestad Hamburg and the direction of Neuengamme. The visit was an initiative of the Neuengamme foundation.
