House of Representatives to visit the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Copenhagen read aloud (this opens a new window)

On Friday 29 January, a delegation of the Dutch Assembly paid a visit to the secretariat of the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) Parliamentary Assembly in Copenhagen. Goal of this visit: to get more insight in the main activities of the OSCE.The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly plays a leading role in elections observations, for instance. The Dutch delegation comprises Mr Coskun Çörüz (Christian Democratic Appeal), Ms Kathleen Ferrier (Christian Democratic Appeal), Mr Harry van Bommel (Socialist Party) and Senate Ms Pauline Meurs (Labour Party).

Special Representative on Migration for the OSCE

n October 2009, Kathleen Ferrier was appointed as Special Representative on Migration for the OSCE. As a Special Representative of Migration, on 25 January 2010, Ms Ferrier paid a visit to representatives and institutions of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE
The Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE is the parliamentary dimension of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Its 56 participating countries span the geographical area from Vancouver to Vladivostok.  The primary task of the 320 members of the Assembly is to facilitate inter-parliamentary dialogue, which is an important aspect of the overall effort to meet the challenges of democracy throughout the OSCE area.
