The Dutch House of Representatives has a new app: Debat Direct (Debate Direct). With Debat Direct, a single click allows you to watch debates in the Dutch House of Representatives live on your smartphone, tablet or computer.
Live view of parliamentary debates
Debat Direct allows you to watch parliamentary debates live. As well as the live view of plenary meetings and committee meetings, the app gives you extra information. For example the name of the person speaking and the minister present. The results of voting are also shown. This versatile app fits perfectly into the goal of the Dutch House of Representatives to make its work transparent and understandable.

Notifications
You can set Debat Direct to receive various notifications. The app will send you a push notification when a debate is about to start, a certain subject is to be readdressed or a particular politician will be speaking.
Second screen
Are you not sure what debate you’re watching? Let the app listen for a moment through the microphone of your tablet or smartphone. The app ‘understands’ which debate you’re watching and will show you the relevant information about the debate and the speaker.
