Dutch House visits climate conference 
From Wednesday December 10 until Friday December 12, the standing committee for Spatial Planning, Housing and the Environment will visit a UN-climate conference in Poznan (Poland). The conference started on December 1 and is organized by the United Nations (UN).
Climatic problems
During the conference, representatives from 190 countries will discuss the climate problems in the world. The subjects are:
Developing a shared vision for the future and a conceptual text for the climate summit in Copenhagen at the end of 2009;
The prevention of deforestation and forest degradation;
The reduction of greenhouse gas emission;
The role of technology in climate policy;
The role of private and public funding.
Climate summit Copenhagen
The conference prepares for the Climate Summit in Copenhagen at the end of 2009. The Climate Summit’s goal is to achieve a new worldwide climate agreement, in succession to the Kyoto-protocol.
