President of House of Representatives visits Germany

On December 11 and 12 the President of the Dutch House of Representatives, ms Gerdi Verbeet, will visit Germany. Subjects for discussion are:

• Involving youths in politics;
• The German parliamentary system;
• The EU decision-making in the German parliament;

Bonnand Berlin
On Thursday December 11, the President will visit the Haus der Geschichte in Bonn. Afterwards she will speak with several parliamentarians. The President will also attend a meeting at the residence in Berlin. There she will meet people from the cultural life of Berlin, representatives of the Dutch trade and industry and several Dutch and German journalists.

Visit to the Bundestag
On Friday December 12, the President will  visit the Bundestag, the lower House of the German parliament in Berlin. There she will speak with the President of the Bundestag, mr Norbert Lammert and the vice-President of the Bundestag, mr Wolfgang Thierse. Next there will be a guided tour through the parliament building. Directly after the tour, the President will visit the German History Museum.
