House visits Indonesia
From October 12 until October 19, a delegation of the standing committee of Foreign Affairs will visit Indonesia. During the working visit a number of issues will be discussed:
- The bilateral relations
- Water management
- Bird flu
- Poverty control
- Anti corruption policy
- Administrative policy of reform
- Western Papuan and the situation on the Moluccas
The delegation will also meet with Members of Parliament of Indonesia and members of the Election committee. Early in April 2009 there will be parliamentary elections in Indonesia. Besides this there will be meetings with representatives of non-governmental organizations, universities and think tanks. Finally they will take part in a round table conference about human rights.
The visit to the Moluccas has been cancelled. Official Parliamentary delegations do not fly with airline companies that are on the black list of the European Committee. There are no alternative ways to visit the Moluccas, therefore this part of the visit will not take place.
The delegation consists of the following Members:
- Mr H. Ormel (delegation leader, CDA)

- Mr H. Waalkens (Labour Party)
- Mr H. Van Bommel (SP)
