Renata Voss sworn in as Secretary General of the House of Representatives

On 1 september 2015 Ms (Renata) Voss was sworn in as Secretary General of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands. Since 1 July 2015 she had been in office as succeeding Secretary General.

On 1 september 2015 Ms R.G.K. (Renata) Voss was sworn in as Secretary General of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands. Since 1 July 2015 she had been in office as succeeding Secretary General.

After taking the oath Renata Voss said: "The summer recess gave me the opportunity to become acquainted with the House of Representatives in peace and quiet. Now it is time to get to business, and I am looking forward to it. The work of the House is never finished. We provide assistance to the members of the House as best we can, with regard to the 'regular' business of the House as well as partcular projects, such as the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Senate and the House of Representatives, or the parliamentary dimension of the EU Presidency, which is to be held by the Netherlands in the first half of 2016."

In its sitting on Thursday 30 April 2015 the House approved the appointment of Ms R.G.K. (Renata) Voss as succeeding Secretary General as of 1 July 2015 and as Secretary General as of 1 September 2015.

As a lawyer, Ms Voss held various posts in the education sector before 1 July 2015.
