What does this MP stand for?
Three questions for Mohammed Mohandis.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
My mission is to bring people closer together and to restore trust in government. More and more people feel they are losing control over their lives, for example when even swimming lessons or a library card become unaffordable. That sense of losing control turns into distrust of government, political parties and the news.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
People should feel that the best is yet to come. Parents should be confident that their children can look forward to a good and affordable life. We need to shift back towards hope.
3. Who inspires you?
Teachers in vocational schools. They are on the front line and give young people hope for the future.
