Three questions for Marc Vervuurt.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
I want to help shape a better future. I am very interested in how we organise our country, I have ideas about a better way to do so, and I believe I can make a constructive contribution.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
We should treat each other with more kindness, in the House of Representatives and beyond. We can disagree, but debate must be grounded in respect. Everyone lives in their own bubble now. I try to challenge myself to step out of mine so I can build bridges.
3. Who inspires you?
My grandmother. She was born in 1927 and comes from a very different era, yet she accepts the fact that new generations live very differently.
