Biography

"Integrity and reliability first"

I do not have a political background, but I have always been interested in politics. The ball started rolling when I stood as a candidate in the Den Helder municipal elections on behalf of the PVV. To all prospective MPs, I would highly recommend gaining experience in municipal or provincial politics first. As a municipal council member, I learned to debate and compromise. My challenge is to get the best possible result for my base.

Security

I have an engineering background and still enjoy working on cars in my spare time. I also worked as a security guard and a police community support officer, including at the Alkmaar District Court. Safety and security are very important to me. We need more people who have had practical jobs in politics, as their experience puts them in an excellent position to translate policy into practice.

Bring politics closer to the people

As an MP, I would like to increase awareness of the democratic process. Public participation in politics is very important to me, especially when it comes to elections. All too often, politics is practiced from an ivory tower, and I want to bring it closer to the people. Integrity and reliability should be of paramount importance.
