Asylum and Migration

The Standing Committee on Asylum and Migration deals with many subjects, including the asylum system, the reception of Ukrainians and the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND). The committee regularly consults with the Minster of Asylum and Migration on policy in this area. Moreover, the committee has regular contact with individuals and representatives of organisations in the field. This is done in various ways, for instance by organising round-table talks , via working visits or by accepting petitions and letters from citizens and organisations. The committee members use this information in debates or when asking written or oral questions of the government.
