Economic Affairs

The Standing Committee on Economic Affairs mainly deals with the subjects for which the Minister of Economic Affairs is primarily responsible. The committee focuses on topics ranging from macro-economic and European economic policy, strategic autonomy and innovation to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), consumer protection and postal services. Issues could include things such as consumer protection against misleading advertising, the price of stamps and the position of strategically important businesses in the microchip sector.
