What does this MP stand for?
Three questions for René Claassen.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
I have been interested in politics and driven to contribute to the country from an early age. In the House of Representatives, I want to keep Limburg on the agenda by raising the issues that matter there.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
I want to achieve more by standing up for my party’s positions while also listening to people with different views. My motto is that everything always works out eventually. Sometimes you will find a shortcut, sometimes you will have to take the long way round, but everything always gets resolved somehow.
3. Who inspires you?
My father. As a trade union official, he was always politically engaged and wanted to make a real difference for workers. He inspires me to do my part too.
