On Monday 16 November at twelve o'clock the House of Representatives observed a minute of silence in commemoration of the victims of the Paris attacks on Friday 13 November. The French flag was projected on one of the walls of the Central Passageway, where the participants of the commemoration observed a minute of silence. Two committee meetings on new legislation were interrupted for the commemoration. On Monday the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ms Anouchka van Miltenburg, was present at the French embassy, as were several members of the Cabinet.

On Tuesday 17 November, the House of Representatives commemorated the Paris attacks at the beginning of the sitting. The French ambassador was in attendance.
