Defence

The Standing Committee on Defence mainly deals with subjects relating to defence equipment and defence personnel, including the Netherlands' participation in international peacekeeping operations. The committee also deals with dossiers on the defence infrastructure and military support to Ukraine and regularly consults with the Minister and the State Secretary of Defence on these issues. If other committees are involved in a particular subject, the committee sometimes also consults with other cabinet members such as the Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding the deployment of military personnel andabout the EU's Common Security and Defence Policy.
