Justice and Security

Police, counterterrorism, court fees and organised crime are just some of the many subjects dealt with by the Standing Committee on Justice and Security. The committee oversees the work of the government by regularly holding debates with the Minister and the State Secretaries of Justice and Security. The committee also examines new legislation and holds round-table talks with individuals and representatives of organisations in the field. The committee sometimes carries out working visits or receives petitions and letters from citizens and organisations. The members of the committee use this information in debates or when asking written or oral questions of the government.
