Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) consists of 306 democratically elected representatives from the Member States of the Council of Europe. PACE is the parliamentary arm of the Council of Europe, an international organisation of 46 countries dedicated to upholding human rights, democracy and the rule of law within Europe.
Canada, Israel and Mexico hold observer status with PACE, while Morocco, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan and the Palestinian Territories are 'partners for democracy'. These partnerships are intended for parliaments of non-member states that support the principles, values and objectives of the Council of Europe and wish to promote and implement them through PACE and other Council of Europe bodies.
PACE meets in plenary session four times a year for a week at the Palais de l'Europe in Strasbourg.
Dutch delegation
The Dutch delegation to PACE consists of seven members and seven deputy members from both Houses of the States General.
