Come to the House of Representatives on Architecture Day, Saturday 21 June 2014, and visit the new part of the building complex. It was built in 1992 and links together several older buildings.

(Re)construction of the premises of the House of Representatives started in 1985 and in 1992 the new part of the building was opened. Apart from the connection between the old and new buildings, the House got a new assembly hall for plenary debates. The plenary hall can be seen from the public gallery.

On Architecture Day several activities take place at various organisations all over The Hague. The central information point is housed inside the building of the Spui Theatre at Spui 187, The Hague. Here (only on 21 June) you can find information on the guided tours, programme, participating buildings and their accessibility.

Have a look at the photo collection in the Central Passageway about the drastic reconstruction. In the cinema room a short documentary film is shown, featuring architect Pi de Bruyn, among others. Hosts are available to tell you everything you want to know about the building and the parliamentary process.
