Martin Bosma elected new President of the House

Martin Bosma (PVV) was chosen to be the new President of the House of Representatives. In the second round of the election procedure, he obtained 75 out of the 146 valid votes.

The elections for the new of the House of Representatives were held on Thursday December 14th and required two rounds of voting to secure the required majority. Runner-up GroenLinks-PvdA MP Tom van der Lee received 66 in the deciding round. The election was the result of an individual ballot by the members of the House of Representatives.

Member Presidium

Bosma has been a member of the House of Representatives for the PVV since 2006. After the 2010 elections he became deputy President and a member of the Presidium.
