Today, they are responsible for the distribution of urgent documents within the premises. The Mail Room takes care of all other incoming and outgoing mail. The messengers preserve law and order during parliamentary sittings, in cooperation with the Security Service and the Police. They are also in charge of meeting room bookings, including the facilities necessary, from coffee or tea to a beamer. They see to it that all other offices and services do what they have to do to facilitate the primary process at the right time, so that each meeting can run smoothly.
