“Discuss differences, highlight similarities”
I want to combat polarisation in the Netherlands. To bring people closer together, you have to talk with them, not about them. And rather than stressing our differences, we should highlight our similarities.

I am an optimist at heart. It takes a positive mindset, strong beliefs, and perseverance to make things happen. I have always found that, even if you know you are right, other people might see that differently. That is why it is important to persevere and keep believing there is good in everyone. That is the only way to keep relationships strong, and to be truly open to what others have to say.
