What does this MP stand for?

Three questions for Geert Wilders.

1. What drives you to serve as an MP?

I want to fight for the freedom of the Netherlands. Freedom of expression, the freedom to live as you choose, the ability to pay your bills and serve your country. That has long been my driving force.

2. What would you change about the Netherlands?

We need to introduce an asylum stop, reduce immigration and crack down harder on crime. These issues matter to many people. We are working on legislation to achieve this, whether we are in the cabinet or in the opposition.

3. Who inspires you?

Winston Churchill. His portrait hangs in my office. An anonymous person donated the painting to the House of Representatives in 1955. We all know his later role, but when Churchill was a young lieutenant in the late 19th century, he fought in the Sudan. He wrote a book about this period of his life, much of which still feels very relevant today.
