What does this MP stand for?

Three questions for Michelle Jagtenberg.

1. What drives you to serve as an MP?

I have always been curious about how things can be done differently, and I dream of making the impossible possible. After almost ten years in military aerospace engineering, I now want to promote my belief in technology and innovation through politics. I believe that we can achieve everything through technology and that we must harness it to address the major challenges facing society. This requires political vision, perseverance and cooperation.

2. What would you change about the Netherlands?

During my career, I have come across numerous Dutch technological gems. Innovations that improve performance, make systems more reliable and strengthen the operational capability of our armed forces, but which are hidden away in international supply chains. If we start thinking bigger again, we can make a far greater impact with these national gems and help them grow into European champions.

3. Who inspires you, and why?

One of my great inspirations is Dolly Parton. She created a unique public image while always remaining purposeful and authentic. Her unwavering compassion for others also inspired me.
