Three questions for Shanna Schilder.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
I lived in Curaçao for four years, but I have been politically active all my life. It is very easy to criticise things from the sidelines, but if you really want change, you have to step up and do it yourself.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
We should be kinder to each other. Society is becoming harsher, and we should go back to behaving normally again. The rift between the left and the right is growing. We have to work together to make society nicer and kinder again.
3. Who inspires you?
Pim Fortuyn. He worked hard to highlight worrying developments in Dutch society and had to pay for it with his life.
