What does this MP stand for?
Three questions for Tamara ten Hove.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
I have served in various roles in the armed forces and in healthcare. In both I saw things that could be done differently, maybe better or at lower cost. When colleagues told me that real change had to come from The Hague, I thought: then that is where I need to be. I like it when people call something very difficult, because it means it is not impossible.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
I want to preserve our culture and our freedom, because I know they are not guaranteed. I also want people to feel proud of the country and its flag. That pride has faded.
3. Who inspires you?
My grandmother, because she was a very free-spirited woman. She was never afraid to speak her mind and always ready for a good debate. She was strong and followed her own path, making her a major role model for me.
