What does this MP stand for?

Three questions for Henri Bontenbal. 

1. What drives you to serve as an MP? 

As leader of the CDA Group , I feel privileged to help put my party back on the map. With this renewed parliamentary group, I want to build on that. I long for more respect in politics and believe deeply that our party’s ideals can help make the Netherlands a better country.  

2. What would you change about the Netherlands? 

I would like to see people take better care of each other. Our economy and democracy only function well when people trust one another. Trust genuinely makes society stronger.  

3. Who inspires you? 

Czech President Václav Havel. He was imprisoned under communism, but always believed in the grassroots power of people. Ultimately, he became the first president of the Czech Republic. He inspires me immensely.
