What does this MP stand for?

Three questions for Marieke Vellinga-Beemsterboer

1. What drives you to serve as an MP?

I want to help build a society where everyone can thrive. People start from different positions and need different things to make the most of their lives. I would like to live in a society that can embrace those differences and still allow everyone to flourish.

2. What would you change about the Netherlands?

As a former councillor in Vlieland, I would like to see national-level policy focus more on the more unique parts of our country.

3. Who inspires you?

Two people. My closest source of inspiration is my grandmother, who was a great role model for me because of her perseverance. Politically, Jacinda Ardern has inspired me greatly by showing that you can be a great leader and a kind person at the same time.
