What does this MP stand for?
Three questions for Joost Eerdmans.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
Politics was a regular topic while I was growing up. We would discuss whatever was happening in the world, so I have always had a natural interest. It is a great honour to represent the message of JA21 once again in parliament, now with a much larger group. As an MP, you can make a real difference for people.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
The country is stuck on several fronts. My core aims are greater prosperity, more safety and less migration. We have a wonderful country, but we should fight to keep it that way.
3. Who inspires you?
My wife is both my biggest critic and my greatest supporter. My children are the reason I do what I do. In politics, Pim Fortuyn is my greatest source of inspiration. He is the reason I entered politics in 2002. He focused my political views, and I still do politics in his spirit.
