What does this MP stand for?
Three questions for Ilana Rooderkerk.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
After years of stagnation and decline, I want the country to move forward again. As a mother of two young boys, I care deeply about improving education and building a good future for our children.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
In the previous cabinet term, I worked hard to create a society in which everyone is free to improve their own lives. That work is not finished. Progress takes persistence, which is why I want to keep devoting all my energy to turning our ideals into results.
3. Who inspires you?
New Zealand politician Jacinda Ardern. She brings a human touch to politics: she goes hard on the issue and soft on the person. Like her, I want politics to listen and solve problems.
