What does this MP stand for?
Three questions for Lisa Westerveld.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
Many people in the Netherlands are struggling, and those who need an extra helping hand often find it difficult to make themselves heard in politics. I want to be a voice for those who are not being heard.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
I want a country where everyone matters, including young people in youth care, people with mental health issues, children who do not get an education and people with disabilities. These groups are often overlooked. Everyone in the Netherlands should be seen and heard, regardless of their background.
3. Who inspires you?
Megan Rapinoe, an American football player. She is not afraid to speak out and stands up for women's rights and the LGBTQ+ community. I admire anyone who uses their platform to stand up for others.
