What does this MP stand for?
Three questions for Julian Bushoff.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
I find it hard to digest that the Netherlands gained 17,000 millionaires last year while some children have to go to school hungry. I want to tackle inequality: politics should be about redistribution and progress for all. I will also continue to stand up for the victims of gas extraction in Groningen and northern Drenthe, where I grew up and still live. I will keep fighting for the people there.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
Everyone should be able to find affordable housing. People should have access to affordable, compassionate care. We need to address the major inequalities in our country. And of course, everyone in Groningen and northern Drenthe must be able to live in a safe, undamaged home.
3. Who inspires you?
The people who take action themselves and force change in politics inspire me most.
