Biography

“Change is the only constant, so it is up to us to ensure that things change for the better!”

I live in Zwolle, where I spent ten years as a municipal councillor. It was a great honour and a pleasure to represent the people on behalf of the VVD all those years, and I now have the chance to work for the entire country. MPs have a privileged and important position.

I believe in keeping the Netherlands free and safe. This is a country where you can be whoever you want to be, where you can develop and grow, and where we care for those in need. To turn your ideals into reality, you have to be in the right place. For me, the municipal council was the right place for ten years. Now, it is the House.

Regional pride

I’m in my thirties now and while I am proud of the region I call home, I am keen to represent all Dutch people. I am down-to-earth, enthusiastic, cheerful, curious, and approachable.

Change

My motto is about all the changes we are facing together. While we are living in tense and exciting times, we do not have to let the constant onslaught of changes hold us back. I have always been taught to get up and keep moving in the face of adversity. Perseverance is very important. We can make the Netherlands a little better every day, and politicians play a key role in making that happen.
