What does this MP stand for?
Three questions for Sarah Dobbe.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
I want to live in a country where human dignity, equality and solidarity matter. However, I have seen those values come under increasing pressure. Healthcare is increasingly only for those who can afford it. At the same time, healthcare workers face ever more demanding workloads, while they are being listened to less and less.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
We should work hard to restore normality. People should be able to afford their groceries. The voices of the people who teach our children and build our homes should be heard. It should be possible for everyone to live a dignified life here, not only the very richest.
3. Who inspires you?
The healthcare workers with whom I spent years campaigning in the trade union. And the people who are not heard or have even been forgotten by the authorities. Standing up for justice is the most inspiring thing a representative can do.
