What does this MP stand for?

Three questions for Fatimazhra Belhirch.

1. What drives you to serve as an MP?

In my previous roles, I saw how vital legislation is. Laws should work for people. Listening to people's concerns, offering real solutions and reconnecting communities are central to me.

2. What would you change about the Netherlands?

The Netherlands is a beautiful country. I want everyone to be able to take part in society, and I want us to listen to one another more closely. Our strength lies in our diversity. Tapping into positive energy will let us effect change together.

3. Who inspires you?

My parents. Politics was a regular topic at the kitchen table when I was growing up. They taught me that you have to help yourself, but also those less fortunate. That you have to pursue progress and explore how you can contribute to it. That is why I studied law and later became a human rights lawyer, diplomat and politician.
