What does this MP stand for?

Three questions for Marjolein Faber.

1. What drives you to serve as an MP?

If you are unhappy with how things are going, you can stand on the sidelines and shout, or you can act. As an MP, you have real influence, due in part to the right of legislative initiative. You can also put current issues on the agenda, more so than in the Senate.

2. What would you change about the Netherlands?

I want less migration. We need to close the borders. Everyone is equal before the law, and I believe we should enforce the law and regulations more equally. I sometimes feel that we apply double standards.

3. Who inspires you?

The generations after me inspire me. I want them to benefit from everything the country has to offer. Among the people I see as role models are Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meir and of course Geert Wilders.
