What does this MP stand for?
Three questions for Harmen Krul.
1. What drives you to serve as an MP?
When I served in the army, my work revolved entirely around making a difference for others. That same motivation led me into politics, where even a small difference can mean a great deal.
2. What would you change about the Netherlands?
I want to change politics by reducing the amount of talking about each other and listening more to citizens. Politicians need to argue less and achieve more.
3. Who inspires you?
Former prime minister Piet de Jong. He brought calm and stability in very difficult times and, like me, served in the navy.
