"Making the world a better place"

It is a great shame that a country as rich as the Netherlands is home to so many people living below the subsistence level. Everyone has a right to a good life, and yet I have personally spoken to malnourished children. We need to improve housing, healthcare and education.

Good and equal

We can only make sure that everyone can get by if we work together. At the same time, we need to work towards making the Netherlands a more equitable country: everyone should be able and allowed to take part in society here.

Connection

As a member of the municipal executive, I am blessed with ample experience. I am used to talking to people and find it easy to connect with people going through difficult times. Their voices should be heard in politics and they should feel represented. While I will never shy away from expressing my views, I am also open to other people’s opinions. I prefer real-life conversations, but connecting with others on social media also has its benefits.

Sports, friends and Marvel movies

I used to be in AZ’s youth academy, and while I never made it to the first team, I did play football in the highest amateur league. I also enjoy other ball sports and love playing padel, as long as I can be with my friends. I also enjoy listening to music and going to the cinema with my family, preferably Marvel movies.
