On Thursday 22 and Friday 23 September, the Dutch House of Representatives will host the so-called Model European Parliament. Teenagers will simulate a debate of the European Parliament. The President of the House, ms Gerdi Verbeet, will deliver the opening speech.
On Tuesday 20 September at 3 pm, the minister of Finance, mr. De Jager, will present the famous “Third-Tuesday-of-September”-briefcase.
On Tuesday 26 July, the President of the House Ms. Gerdi Verbeet sent her condolences to the President of the Norwegian parliament, Mr. Dag Terje Andersen. On behalf of all the MPs she sent her condolences and support to the government and the people of Norway.

From Wednesday 6 until Sunday 10 July, a delegation of Members of the Dutch Parliament will take part in the annual meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE. This year, the meeting will take place in the Serbian capital of Belgrade.

On Saturday 25 June 2011, The Netherlands celebrated Veterans’day. The celibrations include a manifestation on the Malieveld in The Hague, a presentation of medals on the Inner Court and a parade. The President of the House of Representatives, ms Gerdi Verbeet, and members of the committee of Defence were present.

On Thursday 16 June, the President of the German Bundesrat, ms Hannelore Kraft, visited the States-General.
On Thursday 9 of June Commissioner of Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth visited the House of Representatives.
On Thursday 9 of June the committee of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation received the commissioner of Internal Market and Services Mr. Barnier.
On Sunday 5 June, the President of the House of Representatives, Ms. Gerdi Verbeet, spoke at the memorial service at Camp Vught.

On 18 May, the third Wednesday of May, the minister of Finance, Mr De Jager presents the central government’s annual financial report to the House of Representatives.
From Monday 9 May until Friday 13 May, the Committee of Education, Culture and Science is paying a working visit to Finland.
